Witalias helps you make a separate PDF copy before you share it with an AI assistant or another service. You choose what to replace, remove or keep. The original file is never edited.

The document engine runs in a browser worker on your device. It does not send your document, filename, extracted text, detections or replacement mapping to Witalias or an AI provider.

The Facts, Without The Fine Print.

These statements describe the current application and extension. Website hosting and any support conversation are separate from document processing.

• Email-verified accounts and usage records are separate from local PDF processing. No advertising or analytics SDK is included.
• No AI-provider credentials, chat access or browsing-history access. The extension has one host permission: witalias.com, for account and allowance checks.
• The Chrome extension bundles the PDF engine, fonts and sample. The sample works offline; your own PDFs require online account and allowance checks.
• Mappings stay in the active session and are not embedded in the exported PDF.
• PDF redaction removes selected underlying content. Export checks selected text, replacement labels and page dimensions.

Protection Has A Boundary.

Detection is assistive. Common patterns and contextual rules can miss names, unusual identifiers, languages, image text, faces, signatures and indirect clues. A document can remain identifiable after direct identifiers are removed.

Review each page and the final exported copy. Supported text-based PDFs retain page dimensions and surrounding layout, but annotations, links and document accessibility tags may be removed. Replacement fonts can differ.

Evidence Before Badges.

We do not claim ISO 27001 certification, SOC 2 certification, a completed external penetration test or an accuracy benchmark. We do not represent the product as a GDPR compliance certification or a guarantee of anonymity.
