A Private Copy.
A Straightforward Process.

1. Create or sign in to your account, then open the workspace and choose an English text-based PDF. The synthetic sample works without an account. Keep the original out of your AI assistant until you have made a copy.

2. Review every page. Select a detected detail to jump to its first occurrence. Replace identities, Remove unwanted details, or Keep information needed for the task.

3. Add an exact custom term to find repeated text throughout the file. Use a manual removal area for a visible region. Manual regions require pointer input; exact terms work from the keyboard.

4. Choose short labels that fit their original areas. Review images, contextual clues and any document notes. Confirm the review checkbox, then create the private copy.

5. Inspect the actual protected preview on every page. Download it and open it in your own PDF viewer before sharing. Attach the protected copy to your chosen service separately.

Open the website workspace and sign in to process your own supported PDFs. The synthetic sample works without an account.

The Chrome extension is distributed separately and uses the same local processing engine. Witalias does not intercept uploads or read your AI chats.

“No readable text” means a page needs OCR; exporting a text-based PDF from the source application may help. Renaming an image to .pdf will not make it supported.

A form, signature, encryption, portfolio, layer or repair error means the file is outside this release’s safe scope. Create an authorised unsigned, static PDF from its source, or use another workflow.

“Label does not fit” means you should use a shorter alias or Remove. A selected-text verification failure blocks that output; try a full-region removal and inspect the result.

A processing timeout ends the worker session. Clear the session, reload if needed, and try a simpler supported PDF. Do not treat an incomplete preview as a verified output.

Use Clear session to drop the active document and mapping. Opening another document also clears the previous session. Closing the workspace ends its in-memory session.

Downloaded PDFs are independent local files; clearing or uninstalling Witalias does not remove them. Delete those files through your device if you no longer need them.

To uninstall, open chrome://extensions and remove Witalias. Manage or cancel your subscription separately in My Account. Uninstalling does not cancel billing. There is no cloud PDF archive to retrieve.

Check the limitations and release notes first. For a bug, record the Witalias version, Chrome version, operating system, a short sequence of steps and the exact error message.

Use an invented document to reproduce the issue. Do not send a confidential original, real identifiers or an unredacted screenshot. The contact page provides the verified channel when configured.
